Alcoholism, by clinical definition, is a condition
where an individual experiences a compulsion to consume alcohol
which leads to loss of control over their life and a physical
and mental dependance on alcohol. The compulsion is often
a result of the individuals inability to cope with life and
is frequently compounded by depression or other psychological
conditions. While alcoholism does not always stem from one
specific cause, it always yeilds the same resulting set of
conditions: inability to deal with life, depression, loss
of control, compulsion and dependance. Each of these conditions
tend to inflame the other conditions, hence the cycle of alcoholism
is an extremely difficult one to break. The Next Relvant Step
offers varying treatment
options designed for those individuals who are suffering
from the destruction of alcohol dependancy.
